Central Germany

My second castles tour in Germany was River Castles Tour: The German Rivers Rhine, Moselle, Neckar and Main and their Castles. Many of the highlights were clustered along the Upper Middle Rhine region
that's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This part features the rivers, their scenic valleys and charming small towns, and the
ancient castles built to protect and control them. Also Cologne, the medieval walled town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the
Residenz palace at Würzburg, and both the old and new parts of Frankfurt.
