Photos from a six-day road trip from Vancouver to Calgary, through the wilds of the Fraser Canyon and across British Columbia to the Columbia and Rocky Mountains. Highlights along the way include Hell's Gate, the Last Spike, Emerald Lake, the Icefield Parkway, and the scenic resort towns of Lake Louise and Banff.
This trip focuses on the rugged beauty of southern BC and Alberta. An exploration of Vancouver, the western lower BC mainland, and Vancouver Island is presented on the British Columbia page.

I flew to Vancouver and rented a car for travel with a friend who lives there. We headed east along the Trans-Canada Highway, up through the Fraser River Canyon, east across the Thompson River region, and into the mountain parks of eastern British Columbia and Alberta.
